Since its launch in 2002 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone has worked towards its vision to become an internationally recognized location of choice for quality healthcare and an integrated center of excellence for clinical and wellness services, medical education, and research.
Dubai Healthcare City brings together core healthcare services, attracting the best in class global and regional names, as well as a network of businesses from hospitality to consultancies and retail outlets. The free zone consists of Phase 1, dedicated to healthcare and medical education, occupying 4 million square feet and Phase 2 occupies 19 million square feet with focus on healthcare and wellness with a strong residential component. Dubai Healthcare City is home to more than 190 clinical facilities, 90 regional headquarter of international Companies, several educational institutions including the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences .
