Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) was established following Law no. 16 of 2005 of the Dubai Government to support the region's demand for the expansion of technology-focused businesses. DSO is one of the five urban zones within the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, dedicated to knowledge and innovation. As a Special Economic Zone, Dubai Silicon Oasis features an integrated ecosystem of businesses, residents, and academia to support knowledge and technology co-creation.”
Vision
DSO was established with an objective to facilitate and promote modern technology-based industries in the emirate of Dubai and make DSO one of the world’s leading centers of advanced electronic innovation, design, and development.
DSO’s master-planned urban area spans 7.2 million square meters and has been carefully divided into five main pillars: industrial, commercial, education, living and residences, and public facilities.
DSO is designed as a hi-tech ecosystem that allows its 22,000 registered businesses to benefit from a plethora of advantages, including high-quality utility infrastructure, advanced telecommunications, electricity, and road networks. It also offers in-house business services and on-going business support.
